I also miss Toddy. I didn't realise how much I did until I got off the phone with him this evening. World of Warcraft absorbs my emotions, it takes from me my sense of humour and ultimately my joy in the real world. I can see how easy it is to get lost in it, though.. mind you, it's not like it hasn't happened before here.
I sat down and cried not long ago. It wasn't a great epiphany, just a small dawning on how inept I am at life and productivity. Writing about how adolescents have problems with industry and time perspective etc. just brings it closer to home. That and I couldn't (and still can't find) the stack of raw questionnaires and hence the original scoring guide. So I've had to make things up (though I think it's the same as it was).
Oh, and apparently:
"not only were females more attached to their partners, but these gender differences were most pronounced for the 18-year-olds. Finally, Dunphy's (1972) assumption that adolescents' need for stimulation peaks around age 18 or 19 and then declines, and Newman and Newman's (1976) position that need for emotional support declines in later adolescence, held true--but only for females."
Interesting, no?
World of Warcraft keeps crashing at random, inopportune moments. Did a dungeon run today with a random group (Wailing Caverns, for those in the know) and according to someone's macro, was beating the shit out of things more than anyone else (up to 8% more), rolled for a chest, and as it opened, everything froze.
I do, however, believe I might have cottoned on to the problem. The only other time my computer has frozen completely like that was when it had 3 hard drives in it - and I was transferring stuff between them. Couple this with the fact that the graphics card box recommended a 480W PSU, and I only have a 330W, and I think we can figure it out. It must just be a maximum load thing, when the GPU is whirring and data is downloading to a cache on the HDD. Makes sense, since it's usually quite soon after I flick between programs.
My psychology report is at ~4700 words, and it cannot be more than 2000. Only about 700 of those are in the appendices/bits that don't count. Sigh.
This has been a long, pointless, and rambling blog from yours truly. Apologies.

I admire the man that parades three minutes of silence and calls it music, but hate myself when i smash together three lines and call it a haiku.
The fact that some things are not self-explanatory does not mean they should always be explained.
